About 7 years ago I was driving home at night and needed to change a tyre. I couldn't do it because the wheel trims on my car had been secured with plastic cable ties by the garage and I had nothing to cut them with. Ever since then I have always carried a Swiss Army knife. It has all sorts of uses (like Velvet described earlier) and I wouldn't be without it. It's not like I have it open in my pocket, I just carry it in my handbag.
What a thing to happen. To be stranded by the side of the road simply for want of a knife! How awful. I hope you didn't have to wait too long for help Cherry?
My knife sits in my back pocket and I never go anywhere without it except in the bath and to bed. It is just too useful to not carry with me.
Once I misplaced it and it was gone for over a month. I was completely lost without it. Turned out a friend had found it in her house and kept forgetting to return it.
Now it's back and we'll never be apart again. It must be true love!
