Strangely, I don't remember J F K being killed. It was actually 1963, wasn't it? I was just turned 6.

On the same day, C S Lewis, the author of the Narnia books, also died.

I wasn't born until 1965, but can you remember what you were doing at the time? They say everyone can.  When Mrs Thatcher resigned I was crossing the road with a ham and cheese roll.  Maybe this thread should be moved to the General Tosh thread, along with all 623's posts.

I was at school when Maggie resigned - we had this really nice supply teacher that day who everyone looked forward to seeing. The headmaster sent a message down to all the classrooms and a big cheer went up when we were told!

1990 was one of my favourite years. I don't remember specifically what I was doing when Thatcher resigned but whatever I was doing I am sure I was wearing a brightly patterned hooded top
