I think my mother is turning into Honey from Eastenders. She recently said she was glad the camp one from Eton Road had put some weight on, as 'he was starting to look emancipated'. And then the other day she spotted some scratches on hall wall and said 'never mind, you'll just have to get a little Mongolia tester pot and paint over it'!

My father-in-law's partner tried to order Mull of Kintyre soup.

My auntie told me she was being sent for an annogram (angiogram!).

A friend of mine once ordered a J-Lo in the pub instead of a J20. And my nan claims her knees go through painful 'phrases'.

This isn't a malopropism, but on a similar theme, I saw an ad for one of these eighties events at Butlins (or similar) proudly boasting that 'the mythical band Frankie Goes To Hollywood' would be appearing! I'm assuming they meant legendary, as I know I was only young when they were big, but I'm pretty sure they existed!
