Wholemeal bread does not and cannot give you cancer. It's possible that a diet high in white bread could contribute to the number of cancer causing free radicals, but frankly if you eat fruit and veg it's highly unlikely.

Buy a bread maker and make your own. It's the healthiest way as long as you use the right ingredients.
