Bride’s Dress Made of Cake
« on: October 13, 2006, 12:15:15 am »
Valentyn Shtefano's pastries were known for attracting stares, giggles and lip-smacking murmurs of "yum'' in the Ukrainian city of Uzhhorod. But even his bride-to-be was surprised when Shtefano told her he was making her wedding dress out of flour, eggs, sugar and caramel.

The edible dress - made of 1,500 cream puffs and weighing in at 20lbs - took the 28-year-old baker two months to make and by the end of the wedding reception his bride, Viktoriya, didn't want to take it off, much less devour it.

After two months it must have been a bit stale!

People keep wedding cake for years. Why should a wedding dress cake be off in less than two months?

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

Because it is made of 1500 cream puffs not the traditional fruit recipe.

Ah, didn't see that. Then again, I don't suppose she would want to actually eat it.

I think it is nice when people keep the top tier of their wedding cake for a christening cake. My brother kept his in a cake tin for 2 years and it was so much nicer .

Our sone was born a year after our wedding and we had the top tier after his church blessing.
