The World Cup is at risk of being ruined by the referees.  They are dishing out yellow cards and red cards like there's no tomorrow.  Any challenge beyond a trip is getting booked.  As Alan Hansen would say- woeful!

I don't claim to be an expert on the rules of football, but even I know that you don't give a player three yellow cards in one game! And to think Graham Poll is supposed to be Britain's 'top' official!
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I do think some of the refereeing has been over-zealous but last night's performance by Portugal and Holland was disgraceful. Most of the yellow cards were justifiable as the game descended into a battle. Portugal do not deserve a place in the quarter final.

Ho, ho, ho!

That's what I like about the Scottish. They are very balanced people.

They have a chip on both shoulders.
