Inside Man - a review

Went to this film last night.

You think it's going to be just another bank robbery with hostages and a cop trying to get inside the mastermind's head.  Well yes, and no.  Just as you think you know what's going on the director pulls the rug from under your feet.

Never mind Basic Instinct 2, this is this years MUST see film.  Denzil Washington (cop) and Clive Owen (main baddie) are both in their own ways brilliant and Christopher Plummer (Bank chairman) also puts in a great performance.  Jodie Foster (specialist lawyer) adds a touch of understated sexuality and gives what in some ways is a difficult role, real flair in her Fosteresque way.

I can't give too much away without spoiling it, but you simply must see this film.

One of my friends was talking to me about this film (neither of us had seen it) and asked why Jodie Foster would do your bog-standard heist film. Sounds like there's more to it which would explain it.
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?
