I've heard that Easter Egg chocolate is actually a different recipe from normal chocolate - don't know if that's true or not.

I am going to Tenerife. I don't fancy it much to be honest. It's something my husband booked.

Puerto de la Cruz is lovely.  There are dragon trees, which bleed red sap.  The beach is made of black basalt so no Chavvy union Jack shorts.  The hills are clad in beautiful laurel Forests, home of the rare Bolle's Pigeon.  Try the cream cake shop near the bus station, they are superb.  The volcanic formations at Parc canadas at the foot of Mount Teide are not to be missed.  Also here is an excellent cafe and an interesting visitor centre and museum.

However, if you are going to Los Christianos or Playa de la Americas bad luck - take a good book.

I am going to Puerton de la Cruz! Thanks Bounty. You have lifted my spirits! We are not beach people so the rest sounds just our sort of thing. I love to be near the sea, to hear it and see it, but not to sit on a beach! Thnaks again.

That's OK then.  Also don't miss the Botanical gardens: there are tropical trees from all over the world.  Unless you are hiring a car, take the bus.  You can buy a block ticket that gets you everywhere.  They are sold at the information place at the bus station.  The buses are clean and efficient and go everywhere.

It sounds lovely Oldspice.  Hope you have a great time.  I've off to France just before that (my freebie) but I'll be home for Easter.

Thanks everyone. I will enjoy it now Bounty has said how beautiful it is. I was afraid it would be full of Darrens and Shellys swigging larger and eating all-day breakfasts.

Or Kylies and Lisas?
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I am having a quiet Easter at home. I don't find there is a lot to do apart from visit my family. I hope there's something good on tv and I get lots of eggs.
