Pyramint
« on: August 27, 2005, 04:26:13 pm »
No question mark needed after the discontinued here, havent seen these since about 92 when it was in its second incarnation as a really ropey bar with awful minty truffley rubbish in it. But in there first form; a great big dark choc pyramid filled with mint cream they were amazing. Has anyone seen anything like it since, or even remember who made it in the first place??

In answer to who made it, I think it was Terry's. It was definitely best when it was the three individual pyramids. Changing it to a bar killed it - why get rid of your main USP?

I remember these; the way I remember them is they were bars in either yellow or orange wrapping and came in either lemon (yellow wrapping) or orange (orange wrapping) flavour; they had pyramid (of course) segments and wafer in them and, when you bit off a segment, steam used to come out. The steam coming out of them looked like Heaven! Terry's made them and I know they're definitely discontinued; they were discontinued some time in the mid 90s :(.

I they had a green wrapper and were triangular in shape. They were mint flavoured - thus the name PYRAMINT.

Old but spicey!

You are quite right Smurfy - there was no wafer in Pyramint.

I could really fancy a Pyramint righjt now actually - I liked the fact that the filling was a bit sloppy rather than firm like other mint chocolate combinations.

One can only wonder about the sort of dark, sexually twisted, depraved, insane and nightmarish thoughts that occupy this person's mind.
