If you think that's a sad song Lou, you should hear 'Nobody's Child' by Karen Young. You'll be bawling!
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

Im so sorry for that laddie,
He hasnt got a daddy,

Those lines are a bit naff! It's a sweet song but several things worry me:

Why are last year's toys broken? Doesn't he take care of his things?

Who gave him last year's toys? Was his daddy around then? If so, is the sub-text of this song that it's daddies who bring the toys and if they're not around 'Santa' will 'forget' you?

Alternatively, has Santa got early signs of dementia?

Old but spicey!

I think the person who wrote that song was either a manic depressive or evil. When I was little and we heard that song I would tell my brother it was about him and he would scream the house down.
