Genuine bizarre adverts seen

In Codnor Derbyshire last week: Kittens and Parrots in stock In stock! They're living things for goodness sake, are they boxed up on shelves?

In Nottingham the other week, Newsagent window: Assorted jam jars plus easy chair.  Seems a particularly specific and unlikely combination to require.

Has anyone else seen any bizarre adverts lately?

I once read a letter in the paper from a woman who was highly upset over an article on a black cab driver who was accused of murder. 'What does it matter that he's black? That's so racist! Are you saying that he must have done it because he's black?' At the end of her rant was the editor's response, which said:

'Black' refers to the colour of the cab, not the driver. It is intended to differentiate from Hackney cab drivers who are not licensed by the council.

Black cab driver means you're not a minicab. london black cab drivers HATE mincabs and call them miniscabs!
