My husband still likes cream soda and waxes lyrical about how they used to have a van come round every week in the Midlands delivering 'pop' - cream sodas etc, which you returned the next time. This was back in the 60's and it certainly didn't happen where I lived.
The Corona van visited my town (I live in Cornwall) in the 70s and possibly the early 80s. Cherryade was my favourite.
In Malta last year we drank Coke Floats. You can also get ice-cream put in your Kinnie (a bitter, orangey type of drink you only seem to be able to get in Malta) which is very refreshing.
