I VISITED SOME RELATIVES IN LEICESTER LAST YEAR AND DISCOVERED A NEW LINE IN THE BASSETTS JELLY BABY RANGE. MILKY BABIES.  YUM YUM, WHAT A DISCOVERY. THEY ARE THE MOST DELICIOUS SWEETS I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME. I LIKED THEM SO MUCH I BOUGHT ABOUT TEN PACKS BEFORE LEAVING LEICESTER TO COME HOME.

UNFORTUNATELY, SINCE THEN I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE BASSETTT MILKY BABIES ANY WHERE IN OR AROUND THE LONDON AREA.  IF YOU KNOW OF ANY RETAILERS THAT SELL THEM DOWN SOUTH RESPOND QUICK AS I'M SUFFERING FROM WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS. NOT GOOD!!

Old Products / suchards chocolate eggs

Sorry, I have not logged in for months.  However, I'm on the case of the missing Suchard eggs.  The Suchards factory Building in Welwyn Garden City where my Mum was employed for some time still stands.  Mum worked there way back in the late 60's, early 70's.  As you can imagine it is forever a reminder of the chocolate liqeurs and eggs I so favour. I'm now 42, so it has been  like torture as I worked next the building for 6 years.

That reminds me, I must contact Bassetts and ask them why they only supply their Milky Babies to retailers in and around leicestershire.  I have not yet seen any outside of that area.

Thanks for your replies Oldspice and Cherry Ripe.  It shows that there are people who care by doing something constructive.Thumbs%20Up

I wonder how many cocoa beans were picked to produce the those chocolate easter eggs still sitting on the store shelves.  Prices start from say 1.00 upto 30-40 each, but are reduce as Easter is now over.

REMEMBER EACH CHILD EARNS APPROXIMATELY 200 A YEAR.

I was watching the news this week.  Subject matter was about young African boys aged around 12 who farm cocoa beans 24/7.

They do not have an education as they have to work.  One child has not seen his mother for, I believe 7 years.  Please correct me if the number of years are incorrect.

They showed the wounds and scares caused by the cutting tools they use.  Some of the open wounds were infested with flies.

And for all of the above these children earn 200 a year.  Whilst  the big chocolate manufactures earn BILLIONS in sales from us and many more like us who everyday enjoy the pleasure of chocolate in one way or another.

I wonder if any of those children have tasted a chocolate bar, chocolate biscuit or even drank hot chocolate.  May be that is a silly question.  I'll let you figure that one out.

However, which paper are you referring to?

I cannot stand Crunchie Bars because:

1.  They're too sweet.

2.  The yuck inside sticks to your teeth like glue.

3.  They're not really crunchy

4. I dislike them that much I don't know if I have even spelt the name correctly.  Oh well who cares!!

5. Generally speaking they taste disgusting and are lacking in chocolate.

SORRY TO ALL THOSE CRUNCHY/IE LOVERS

Eating Methods / Maltesers

I like to takeeach Malteser and squash them between the thumb areas of my palms before popping each one into my mouth.

You have to squash them quick as the chocolate will start to melt.  But I have it down to a fine art now.

Old Products / PINK PANTHER CHOCOLATE BARS
« on: March 25, 2007, 10:24:42 am »

Sorry Jackson Lu!

I don't have the recipe for this delicious chocolate. However, would like to come to China.

I suppose Pink panthers did have a plastic look about them like Caramacs, but it would not stop me from eating them.  My sister used to live off Caramacs and she is still partial to them now. Even at the age of 49.

Why wait for easter to eat Suchard eggs.

My Mum used to work for Suchards in Welwyn Garden City and she would bring boxes of eggs home.  Me and my siblings would unwrap the eggs split them in half before poppin them in our mouths slowly allowing them to melt.

My Mum also brought chocolate liquers home.

LUCKY ME THEN.Tongue  NOT SO LUCKY NOW.Cry

PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THERE IS A 99P SHOP BEFORE I GO INTO COLD TURKEY.

THANKS
