Old Products / lime jaffacakes
« on: March 09, 2006, 05:40:49 pm »

we have a store chain here in northern ireland called 'Supervalu'

they're currently selling lime and blackcurrant flavoured jaffa cakes...the b'currant ones are delicious

does anyone remember the time when the makers of jaffa cakes made a huge one to prove that each one is a cake and not a biscuit...had something to do with EU regulations on where biscuits are displayed or how they're taxed or summit....they won their case too.

pity they didn't keep making huge ones...i'm sure they would have sold hahahaha

Never liked them. An excess of substandard chocolate in my view.

Do they still make them even?

now, Cherry, are we talking about the 1980s version of the Wagon Wheel which was a huge great big lump of chocolate/biscuit heaven...or are we talking about its anorexic descendant that claims to be a WW today?

The old ones of course! I was a child of the 70s & 80s - I haven't had a Wagon Wheel since I stopped having packed lunches and that was about 1988!

hehehe you're about the same age as me then - somewhere in the mid thirties haha

i loved the old wagon wheels - a real meal
