Old Products / Pink and Spearmint... HELP!!!!
« on: December 31, 2005, 05:21:37 pm »
Yes spearmint chews were my favourites too but they were in the 50s/60s and very soft almost like bubble gum.  I couldn't get enough of
them. Another favourite from that time was
the pineapple chew which I think was made in stick
form rather than a wrapped sweet. Also my local shop Brodies made their
own fresh pineapple lollies which were out of this world. I also remember
chocolate ice lollies at the picture house (cinema)! Another favourite which disappeared was white chocolate coated creme de menth, a flat circular sweet without wrapper.

Old Products / terrys (?) box of chocs with 3 drawers
« on: December 31, 2005, 05:02:18 pm »
Every Xmas back in the early 60's our boss at work Mr. Coker at USDAW in Newcastle on Tyne used to buy us girls in the typing pool a box of Terry's 1767, so named presumably because of the year Terry's came into production. They were fantastic but very expensive, also difficult to come by. I think very few were made and were snapped up quickly.

Hello to Pat, Shirley and Susan, past employees if you're out there and read this!
