Old Products / Re: Cello bar???

Well I thought they were nice :P
I guess they were a bit of an acquired taste though.  If I remember correctly, they were only around for a few months...

Ha ha!!!  No I am poodle1977!!!!!!
Glad somebody else remembers the cello bar though :)
They were around in the late 80s for a very short space of time.  I seem to remember the wrapper was pink(?).  The product itself was a flat white chocolate bar which contained almonds and I think had the word 'Cello' inscribed in the chocolate.  They were very nice.

I like the milk ones best, they are lovely.
I was wondering why they'd given them such a waxy texture but I suppose it's to make them authentically 'Werthers' (I've always found Werther's Originals somewhat waxy)

Going to put ours up the weekend after next (it's my son's birthday next weekend so that's a no go).  I think any time before December is too early.

Probiotic drinks, yogurts, cereals etc are a totally waste of time and money.
I love the fact that this is a Galaxy branded drink yet they are trying to pass it off as something with health properties :D
Sounds disgusting anyway...

Wow! Someone else who didn't like Secrets! Can it possibly be true?! ;)
I also prefer Kit Kat Chunky Caramel to WispaGold - I love the caramel layer.  It's kind of fudgey.  I just wish they had kept the Peanut Butter one as well :(

Hmmm...
I have mixed opinions on Trick or Treating.  On one hand, I really don't have a problem buying sweets for Trick or Treaters.  I've never had a problem with older kids begging for money, they have all happily accepted a handful of Haribo over the years :D
On the other hand, I don't allow my own children to go knocking on doors because I don't want them to be a nuisance to others.  I let them dress up and hand sweets out to anyone who knocks on our door but they have never been allowed out themselves.  They don't like it but it's tough ;)

I seriously doubt that BNP voters are the kind of people who watch Question Time and if they did they would probably be too stupid to understand the issues raised.
I think the BNP deliberately target low intellect groups who only understand things in very basic terms which is why they have had some limited success in recent times.

Oooh in that case I'll probably give these a whirl.  It's shopping day tomorrow and I know for a fact that my local Asda doesn't sell the Milka with Daim that I wanted to try so perhaps they will have some of these in stock instead.
I love ginger.  There aren't enough ginger sweets. I used to love those boxes of candied ginger you used to be able to find in the shops quite easily but I haven't seen one for years now :(

I think I'd love the ginger fondant filling but the chocolate contains 95% cocoa solids...I really struggle with any dark chocolate over around 65%, it's just too intense for me.  Shame.
Maybe I'll buy some anyway just on the off chance...

Have to disagree with you on the chocolate I'm afraid.
My hubby and I went on a late night (drunken) trip to Asda recently in search of Polish foodstuffs to try (we were very drunk) and this chocolate was amongst a selection of stuff that made it into our basket along with a jar of sauerkraut, some pretzel stick things, a bag of round crunchy things not dissimilar to Dutch Crispbakes and a bag of heart-shaped chocolate covered strawberry gingerbread.
Anyway, we noticed that the chocolate had some connection to Cadbury so assumed it would at worst be OK.  Whilst edible, it had that cheap and nasty tang that I associate with very cheap easter eggs and the smell was tres off-putting.
Pretzel things were nice though.  Could just eat some now actually...

I think the way food companies interpret the '5-a-day' rules are debatable.  I remember a few years back Heinz were told that they could no longer class their spaghetti in tomato sauce as a 5-a-day product but it took a fair while until the information disappeared from the label.  I think the government will eventually stop 5-a-day labelling on products such as fruit loaves because the overall benefits from eating the small amoubt of 'fruit' it contains are negated by the sugar and refined flour in the product.

All health benefits will be wiped out by all the starch, gluten and sugar anyway.  I love the way junk food is always being marketed as 'healthy' these days.

Not that I care because I NEVER eat my 5-a-day and I'm not likely to start now ;)
