Title: Woolies 4 for £1
Post by: kevvosa on June 29, 2005, 05:41:42 pm
It's Nestle stuff this time, Aeros, Caramac, Smarties Big Flavas,
Rowntrees fruit gums/pastilles, Jelly tots and so on. The Rowntrees
sweets are no artifical additives etc, I tried some and they are quite
fruity.

My Woolies is good for variety but an absolute tip. It takes for ever to find anything. There is no proper layout or orgainsation. It's like a giant jumble sale.

Is it also boiling hot? My Woolies is and especially in this hot
weather it's a farce - all the bars are practically liquid
chocolate.

That's bad news. It takes some doing for even Woolies not to survive.

I here Sunderland is good for shopping? Here in Peterborough we are turning into a city full of card shops, shoe shops, mobile phone shops and pound shops - that about sums up what we are all about!

We didn't have a single bookshop (except for W H Smith) for years but now we have two Waterstones which is good news.

I have found this too. The one in Welling which is a fairly run down
high street is baking hot and the chocolate had actually melted. Where
the bars are on their side on the shelf and had melted, they were bent
all over the place. But the one in Bexleyheath which is not run down,
is fully air conditioned and the bars are all fine.

Surely the chocolate would be unsellable once it had gone like that?
