Title: Covered Flake 70s

Can anyone give me any help. I have been racking my brains and cannot for the life of me remember the name of this chocolate bar. My friends all think I am imagining them but I know I am not. In the early to mid 70s there was a chocolate covered flake (I am almost sure it did not start life called ripple). Do not even know who made it ie Galaxy or cadbury. It was in a blue wrapper. Am I  going mad or can anyone help.

Bring back Mint Cracknells (why did they ever get rid of them and who made them?)

You're not imagining them! They were lovely and I've been racking my
brain for ages too trying to remember what they were called and who
made them.  Perhaps it's nostalgia but I'm sure they tasted nicer
than flake or ripple do now.

They were Cadbury's Dipped Flake and yes, they were around in the 1970s. They came back recently as Covered Flakes.

Mint Cracknell!!!!!! Brilliant, wonderful bars. Remember the sister bar Lime Cracknell??? Remember Lime Aero?? Remember Amazin Raisin bars??

Bring them all back NOW.

Second thoughts - better not - I'd be the size of Nellie The Elephant.

I never realised Dipped Flake was a re-issue! Why can't they bring back some other old favourites, at least as limited editions like they did with the Aztec a few years back?

Because the companies are boring like that. I think a lot of consumers are crying out for something different.

Exactly - that's why KitKat Editions have arrived. People are sick of yet another 'blend of peanuts/caramel/crisped rice/nougat etc.'

Thanks for all your replies but i am still at a loss. I am sure they were called a one word name like "ripple" but not that. Do not think they were called 'dipped flake' oldspice.

Do the chocolate firms have back catalogues of their sweets or sweet museums?

Kit Kat Editions get the 



As does the Caramac Kit Kat. My boyfriend got me one the other week and
he left it in his pocket, it had melted and then run to one side a bit.
Once I came to eat it I had 2 fingers slightly less covered and 2
fingers more covered and it was heaven



I also like the White Smarties, Irish Cream Rolos and the Sticky Toffee Aero. They are all very good introductions.
