Actually, I am really enjoying my 50s. I feel justified in working part-time, I have raised my children and seen them through university and on to independent living, I have time to spend with my husband at weekends and one evening a week and - unlike some of my friends and colleagues who are ten or more years younger, I don't even have many grey hairs!
