Title: Outlet shops
Post by: Cherry_Ripe on April 11, 2005, 10:24:24 am

This weekend I visited the Cadbury and Thorntons outlet shops in Street.

At the Cadbury shop most of the products were past their sell by dates so I didn't buy much. I got 12 bags of Buttons for £1.49 which I didn't think was a bad deal. They had those fancy Easter eggs which they were charging £9.99 for -  I don't know how much they were at Easter, but that didn't seem a good deal to me.

At the Thorntons shop I got 2 bags of misshapes (£1.99 each) but most of the other stuff in their sale was toffee related, and I'm not a fan. I did see chocolate Dougals but they were £4.75 which (I think) was their original price anyway.

All in all, I was a bit disappointed with Street's chocolate related offerings.

When I have been to the Cadbury's outlet shop I have always been fairly pleased with that has been on offer.

I like the bags of misshapes from Thorntons, I always try and get a bag with the most milk and white chocolates in them.

I have noticed that the offers avaliable in these kinds of places vary from week to week depending on stock etc.
