Today I have the delight to have this piece of Oz chocolate, : Dark Choc, Coconut and ripe Cherries, it did taste rather nice, but it had higher amount of Sat fat. I have to say it was alright.
Dont ask about the price.

What was the price?

Just wondering about ordering a cherry ripe double dip from cybercandy - no idea what the double dip bit is all about though :)

Oh, 623! You didn't pimp yourself out for chocolate, did you?

No! but I did spend a good few pounds, we all need a treat, there do have a nice chocolate bar...

I had a Cherry Ripe from Cybercandy a few years back. It was ok, but I did find it bit dry and slightly disappointing. I also bought a Cherry Mash, which is basically an American classic consisting of a very hard chocolate and peanut shell with a cherry-ripe type filling. It was, quite frankly, disgusting.

Ooh, what do we have here (http://www.harveynichols.com/food-wine/categories/world-food/australian/s88039-cadbury-cherry-ripe-choc-bar.html).

You should have asked me 623 - I chucked loads of things in the bin a few weeks ago that I bought back from Oz! Overrated.

It does look yummy, and just to be really girly for a second..... What a pretty wrapper. :)

I can honestly say I've never tried one, though all this talk about them is inspiring me to do so. Ebay are selling them at 3 for a fiver... hmm... what to do?
-
I wouldn't bother wjp. As I said - vastly overrated!
-
TOO LATE! I had a fiver left in my PayPal and had a compulsion to spend it. They should be here by Tuesday. God, the crap I end up buying on Ebay is truly staggering.
-
I could have pointed you to places where your fiver would have been better spent.
-
I'm sure you could've. I'm truly a sucker when it comes to Ebay.

Well, my Cherry Ripe's turned up (well packaged and in mint condition... A++ for the guys feedback!) What can I say? I liked them. Lots. Snapping it in half and seeing the redness I half expected it to taste like some kind of fruity breakfast bar, bit it didn't. Really, really liked it. Not loved... just liked lots. Gave a bar to the kids and got the thumbs up there also. Anyone know why they're not available over here? I mean I wouldn't put them anywhere near my top 10 but I'd definitely have them again... not 3 for a fiver though!
-
Although they have been a national favourite for decades in Australia, Cadbury has firmly refused to launch them over here. I think the claim has been that they're 'not for the UK market' - meaning we cannot be trusted to enjoy them enough to make them worth the effort. (I'm sure they're MADE over here though - or WERE).
The obvious thing to do would be to trial them - surely??
-
Indeed. Like I said, I would certainly try them again.
-
I'm glad you thought they were worth it wjp
