Here's an idea for a thread... how about we share some wonderful amatuer photography with the world? Post what you want, but you have to have taken the pics yourself and not grabbed them from google. I'll start...
Here is a pic of my wonderful friend Bluey the rottweiler. ;D

Oh dear! My phone is antique and doesn't take digital photos!
-
:o
-
I guess I'm the only one playing then... hey-ho. Anyways, here's a nice one of Chesil Beach i took earlier in the year. Lovely place... lots of fish.

It's beautiful! We are planning to go down to Weymouth this summer.
-
Weymouth is great... a genuinely nice place to be. (And I'm not just saying that becasue I'm a lifelong local.)
-
Just spent the last week at the ultra-tacky-but-oddly-fun Haven Devon Cliffs... so here's a nice one of the aformentioned cliffs!

Awww, had a great holiday there many years ago. Happy memories. When I've worked out how to post photos on here I'll put some Australian ones on!
-
Please do... I'm feeling a tad lonely here.
-
Sigh... I know it was only Haven but I'm missing the retaurant they had there, which routinely served beasts like this. Mmm...

Out and about locally today... does the second one count as pornography?

Please tell me there isn't a geocache there!
-
I might have to set one up, lol!
-
I remember the White Horse of Osmington from when I was on holiday there in 1976. It really takes me back.
I went with my then-fiancé, a lovely chap called David. He who was so lovely he decided he was too good for me and turned his attention to a well-built, acne-besplattered wench and decided to marry her instead. His loss. I went on to meet the love of my life. He, sadly (and I mean this because he was lovely) died from cancer about 6 years ago.
I still have the photos of our holiday. It was the last time I ever wore a bikini.
-
Thankd for sharing, Spicy... a very nice but tad-sad story. (I did like the way you described the 'other girl', lol.)
Would you believe that after all these years they have FINALLY put in a decent view-point for the Osmington White Horse! It's got it's own little carpark now where you can get out and look at it, rather than hurtle by it at 60mph looking out of the car window, trying not to crash. You should check it out when/if you make it down here this year.
Actually, since the 2012 Olympic make-over, Weymouth has had quite a few alterations made, mostly for the worse.
-
Currently making the most of the lovely weather and local 'attractions'. Here's another!

-
Oh that look lovely! I am going to have to post some pics of the beautiful towns and villages near me - such as Stamford and Nassington. However, I don't have a phone that takes photos you can upload.
-
Not got a digital camera, Spicy?
-
I WILL NOT LET THIS THREAD DIE! >:( Anyways, here's a little compliation of pictures I have taken of the evil creature who lives in my house. Taken quite accidentally the first couple of years, we now make a point of updating this the same time yearly, just to see how much she's grown. Don't let the smile fool you... she is 100% pure EEEEEEEEVIIIILLL!

What a beautiful child.
-
She gets that from Daddy.
-
Just had to share this for its sheer cuteness!

Went to see Punch and Judy today... and according the 'the voice', this is genuinely the last remaining, functioning P&J theatre left in Britain. Something a little sad about that. I am pleased to report the show was still full of stick-battering violence and crocodile sausage theft, just as I remembered it.

Went to Sandworld today, a new local attraction. Very impressed, especially seeing as it's a sci-fi theme this year. These were my faves.

Lovely pics Wjp. I'd love to live near the coast!
-
I physically can't live without sea air. Every single time I go inland I find breathing a real chore. As soon as I hit the coast I'm fine again.
-
Lovely weather today, so went for a paddle. My camera got clogged with sand and died shortly after taking this picture, Oh well.

Come on, ppl - surely I'm not the only one here with a digital camera and an obsession to share? ;-)
Anyways, here's one of the bloody crescent moon we had last week.

No you're not the only one who loves to take pictures wjp666.

(You having probs shrinking photos? You can do this easily with Paint, which has been on every edition of Windows since the dawn of time. Load the pciture into the programme, then go into IMAGE, then RESIZE/SKEW and set to about 20 for both, SAVE AS. Done.)
-
Thanks wjp666
I did use paint to work out the size problems, but then I posted the wrong link. :-[
Now I've got a modify button I've fixed it and it's not too big any more, at least I don't think it is.
-
Wow! that is pretty damn awesome-looking right there.
-
Went to Adventure Wonderland yesterday, which is a kids theme park based on Alice In Wonderland and situated right across the road from Bournemouth airport. Can't recommened it enough for youngsters. Had a great day. Not alot for me to do personally but had fun with this hedge maze and the pan feature on my camera.

-
That's a really good picture, I would think that getting a good picture of a maze is difficult.
It looks complicated too, did you get lost?
-
It was a really cool maze. Not as hard as the Longleat one but still a good challenge. Here's a map of it... you'll notice it's teapot shaped in the centre, different 'Alice' inspired animals all around and the pentagon shape of it really throws you off.

-
That's so cool.
I love it when people manage to theme things like that. I think it makes them so much more interesting.
-
I'm a dog person. Totally. 100%. I am for dogs. A canine lover. Dogs dogs dogs. Having said that... here's a picture of Pepsi, the kitten we have just adopted.

Such a cutie..

Went to visit an old war fort in Weymouth today, and standing atop one of the gun towers I was astounded by the zoom on my camera. The beach was miles away but managed to bag this lovely shot of Weymouth Sands. Usually much busier than this. Where is everyone this year?
-
That still looks really busy to me, but then I'm not used to huge crowds on our beaches. We're still an amazing secret and I'm selfishly hoping it stays that way.
-
Lol. That's the trouble living in a tourity town... tourists keep insisting on coming here!
-
I live on a touristy island and I know what you mean about tourists. I'm very happy they come and I freely admit it's a great boost to the economy of a place that has very little happening off season. I'm still grateful they haven't found our little corner yet. :)
-
We call 'em 'grockles' down these parts.
-
I LOVE your kitten. She's beautiful!
-
Indeed it is. We're still unsure of the sex though. Taking to vets today for confirmation.
-
I live on a touristy island
You live on an island!
-
I know I'm turning into an advert for my home town, but we took a trip to Upwey Wishing Well today. Nice place, but I didn't really go for the well... I went for this. #whyilovedorset
-
So I didn't take this one, but I just had to show you the new friends my little girl made at Peppa Pig World.
-
OK, the little girl looks very sweet, but the piggies.... I can't decide between cute and creepy..
-
So, my fast-growing cat went missing the other day and after hours of searching found him asleep in the dollshouse double bed.
-
What a beautiful cat! They do that sort of thing, do cats. Year ago, when my daughter was small and we had a young cat, we found him asleep in her dolls pram!
-
Aaaaaw, how sweet. Just starting to let Pepsi out of the house now and found him in the neighbours pram today... must be something about being treated like babies they're drawn to.
Also, I think I have just taken the cutest picture ever... went to go to bed and found my daughter and the cat snuggled up in my bed together! I love the bond they have. (Not quite sure how I got roped into this family life of kids and animals, but hey, there it is.)
-
Aww, how lovely. Cats are usually reaaly good with children. especially female cats.
We have two adorable sister cats. Back in July, Maisie picked up a massive infection from a bite to her chest. We think our neighbour's cat attacked her as he's always after my two. She was in a desperate state for over two weeks and it cost us £3,000 to get her back to health. It was worth every penny. She's our adorable Maisie once again and her sister, Maggie, is so pleased to have her back to normal.
-
Some long-term members of this site will remember me proudly announcing the arrival of my baby daughter a while back... well, when I say a while, I actually mean 4 whole years! She had her birthday last week and she has just insisted I upload this picture for everyone on 'Daddy's Chocolate Club' to see: this is her on Weymouth beach with her new bike and matching gear. Where the hell has the time gone?
-
What a cutie! I cannot believe it's four years! What a joy she has brought to your lives. :)
-
She REALLY has. I was quite a different person before she came along. Look at me now... I've turned into one of those annoying parents going on about their kids all the time, lol.
-
So here's the Xmas cake I made with my 4 year old.
-
That's great! I wish we had a 'like' button. I keep going to click it and then remember I'm not on facebook here!
-
That's really lovely.. :)
-
First batch done and dusted!

Some veeeery purdy shots there, Smurfy!

Those are lovely Smurfy. I love cemeteries. They are so interesting and so peaceful.

All I'm seeing here are red crosses! is it just me?

ATTENTION! The photo-uploader hasn't been working for ages now. Is it just me?

I can't see Smurfy's latest pictures either.
