Title: Christmas decorations
Post by: loulou on November 25, 2012, 07:50:17 pm
My friend Lola Rola Pola  (ok thats her lapdancing name) got very excited by the pink and turquoise Christmas decorations in Poundland and Wilkinsons this year.  I have just bought some eskimos to hang on my tree next to the hedgehogs i bought last year.  What is your Christmas colour scheme and do you have any odd animals or decorations on your tree that cause people to think your mentally challenged ?

I stick to red and gree every year. And I have a little green alien in a santa outfit I out up every year, and I have a Gollum figure I always dress up. Here they are from a few years ago:

I like traditional greenery and things brought in from outside at Christmas. I go for twigs and pine cones and evergreen bits and pieces arranged in a big pot in the fireplace.

I have some vintage Christmas ceramics (plates and jugs) which I place over the fireplace and I have a beautiful little Dala Horse (a painted wooden horse from Sweden which is a traditional deocration in the winter months) sitting in the centre of the display.

I'm definitely with Lola!  Pink and turquoise are where it's at this year.  With a few sparkly butterflies.  Very Christmassy!

Inflatable Christmas decorations are highly visible, festive, novelty items that add excitement and fun to your office, holiday event, parade, or front yard. They are basically giant nylon or vinyl balloons. You can purchase them deflated in a carrying case, and then inflate them for seasonal use. Inflatables are a perfect choice for Christmas, since they can be snugly tucked away in a closet or garage until next December.

Sorry, but they are revolting, tasteless trash. They are 'the perfect choice' only for the cast of Shameless.
