Title: Ferrero Giotto
Post by: on March 29, 2005, 09:03:21 pm

10er-Stange

35p in Woolies. Come in pack of 5 small balls.

Very like Rocher, except the nuts are on the outside of the choc with the hazelnut paste inside.

Nothing new, just the usual very small variation on a theme. Quite nice. 5/10

NB Strangely German, despite it being an Italian company.

I keep spotting these when hunting for the elusive Red Berries KitKat. Haven't got round to trying them yet but they sound nice.

They are nice. Though they are not a smaller version of Rocher IMO. I've always hated Rocher but I love these.

I'll eat anything with nuts in.

Most women will, that's the sad thing.

Don’t do nuts … of any variety!

Tried them yesterday - they are similar to Rocher, but with subtle differences. Imagine the crunchy noisette type bits from the chocolate coating on a Rocher; it is covered in these, without any actual chocolate. The filling is pretty much the same as a Rocher, but without the crispy shell.

I see these this morning in the news agent and I was wondering what they were. Think I might get some for the weekend.

They are way too small to offer you any protection....oh, right.......well they taste not too bad anyway.

Maybe they have been around abroad for a while and some rogue ones sneaked over here? They are definitely being launched as 'new'.

Ferrero has launched into the adult biscuit market with the launch of Giotto, nutty wafer bites with a creamy hazelnut centre.
Ferrero estimates first-year sales could amount to £15m and plans to spend £4m on brand support in the first year with £3m earmarked for TV advertising and sampling.

It must have been some personal import as they are just officially coming to the UK.

They were giving out samples of these today at Woolies but I avoided them because I'm a chocolate-free zone for a while.
