It's not a disgrace.  It was a simple misunderstanding - she wasn't forgotten.

I can't help smiling to think of all those 'shock, horror' stories of little urchins belonging to the working classes of yesteryear being left outside public houses with a bottle of pop whilst the parents boozed it up inside - and our PM goes and leaves his kid INSIDE the pub!
