Can it keep going for another 50 years?
It is the only programme on TV I watch regularly. I dip into other stuff like New Tricks (it's getting a bit stale I think) and documentaries (I loved the recent series on British Art) but Corrie is like an old comfotable pair of slippers you just can't throw away.
I know Smufy is a fan but what about the rest of you?

Well I can honestly say that I've never seen a single episode and wouldn't recognise anyone in it. If I started watching it I might get hooked and it's bad enough trying to keep up with EastEnders when I'm never in!

Corrie at least got more comedy to it, Here is what could classed as the funnest piece in a soap of 2009:

i used to watch it compulsively as a kid. i gave up about the time alan bradley was hit by that tram.

50 years too long if you ask me! :D

I think in the past few years - really since the Richard Hillman saga - Corrie has been on fantastic form. It's been helped by the fact that EastEnders hit a major slump in around 2003 and took years to recover (and given some of the episodes lately it's about to hit another one). I love the idea that Corrie will still be around in another 50 years - maybe a Betty hologram will be cooking virtual hotpots by then!

What I heard about the eastenders story line at xmas I think its just SICK! and awful. Swapping Dead baby for a real one on xmas day

What, they don't eat it? That's disgusting!

That bitch Molly! She's such a selfish cow! AND she looks like a cabbage patch doll!
-
i think she's kinda hot though. ;-)
-
It's a shame they've made Molly so horrible, as Vicky Binns is actually a good actress. It can't be nice to play.
-
It's kind of sad that they are going to celebrate 50 years of such a well-loved programme with a couple of weeks of mayhem and misery. However - I'll be glued to my set!
-
I'm absolutely gripped. I'm supposed to be at a party during the live episode, but forget that!
-
Why couldn't they just blow the whole place to pieces? Can you tell I don't like soaps?

I thought it was quite well filmed. It looked quite realistic.
I was tired of the silly John/Charlotte storyline so I'm hoping he can make it look as though she died in the accident - but I'm not holding my breath. I like Fizz and John and think they are a lovely couple.
