Does anyone remember the Cello bar, circa mid 80's?
It was a thin bar of white chocolate studded with almonds and shaped just like the good old Milkybar, it came wrapped in foil, followed by a creamy coloured outer wrapper with red writing on it I think?!
Loved them, but dont think they were around for all that long :-(

Definitely a new one on me. It may have been a regional thing.

Lilypead are you also known as poodle1977? If not, somebody else seems to remember it.
While googling I came across a brilliant bag for me, bearing the legend 'Cellist - Will Play for Chocolate' which I just might have to order! Unfortunately it wouldn't let me save the image.

Is this it?

Ha ha!!! No I am poodle1977!!!!!!
Glad somebody else remembers the cello bar though :)
They were around in the late 80s for a very short space of time. I seem to remember the wrapper was pink(?). The product itself was a flat white chocolate bar which contained almonds and I think had the word 'Cello' inscribed in the chocolate. They were very nice.

Obviously not that nice because they disappeared.
-
Well I thought they were nice :P
I guess they were a bit of an acquired taste though. If I remember correctly, they were only around for a few months...

Definitely an acquired taste then. Like Cabana *vomits*
