Title: Experiment this weekend
Post by: smurfboy on March 11, 2005, 01:08:33 pm

How about...

we all try a bar this weekend we haven't had in years, just to see if it's the same as we remembered? Maybe something we didn't like at the time, or that we just haven't bothered with in a while... we could all discover a new favourite! Who's in?

Leave me out of your evil experiments.  I bet you spray perfume into rabbits eyes.

I didn't realise why you were crying Choccy Chick - until I remembered Lent wasn't over yet! Sorry...

Nice idea Smurfboy.

I'm going to try a Lion bar as I haven't had one of those in absolute ages!

I'm thinking Fuse myself - I haven't bought one for years, and I don't think they have them in Miniature Heroes anymore, so god knows when I last tasted one.

Lion bars are yum cherry ripe.

If I was joining in the experiment I think I might have a Nestle Crunch bar. In white and milk for comparison reasons.

I like this idea.  Even though I'm on a diet (I've stuck to it for five days so far) I have said before that if chocolate is for 'research purposes' it doesn't count and this definitely sounds like research to me - count me in!

The problem is, I can't think of a chocolate bar that I haven't had for ages!  Not one that I'd like anyway.

I used to like Dime bars a lot but haven't bothered buying one for a while. I'm sure last time I had a Milky Way i thought the recipe had changed.

This Saturday I ate a Lion bar for the first time in ages. It tasted nice  but was definitely lacking in girth (!) and chewier than I remember them being.

How did everyone elses tastes go I am interested in the Fuse as I haven't eaten one of those for a long time either.

I didn't have a Fuse in the end Cherry Ripe, as I spotted a Nestle Nuts bar which I haven't had in years, so I got that instead. I haven't eaten it yet as I had a massive meal for my Grandad's 85th birthday and feel like I can't eat again until I'm that old!

Just nibbled on my Nuts (ooh madam!) It's almost exactly the same as Topic, but sweeter. I prefer Topics, but I'd buy it again say if I was fancying a Topic and they didn't have any.

Many things are vile to me-coffee choc, peanuts, etc but I would have thought to someone who didn't actually like this that it would merely be bland.

It's the texture - it tastes cheap.
