well, it didn't go exactly to plan, so at just about quarter past 2 this morning (making it the 12th, not sunday the 11th, as originally thought) my little baby daughter - Marnie Raven - was born via c-section. well, i say little - she weighed in at a whopping 10lbs 5oz! and she's gorgeous! due to my lack of sleep the whole thing had a dream-like quality to it - i still can't believe this has happened to me. but at least it's all over now. i now have at least 16 years of torture ahead of me now.
pictures to follow soon!
(just for the record, i WILL NOT turn into one of these awful parents who rave about how great their kids are all the time. give me a couple of days to get over the initial shock and i'll be back to myself, hehe.)

YAY!!! At bloody last! Congratulations, mate! Have some karma as well.
-
Congratulations to you both and well done! Years and years of happiness will follow. You will be the proudest dad ever!

Congrats on the baby lassies

thankyou very much, people. it's given me crippling insomnia, all this. i need a decent nights sleep to really get my head around what's actually happened today.
i'll just say this here once and never say it here once... she's so cuuuuuuuuuuute!
-
Wow... what a big baby. wjp i am so very happy for you. I bet Marnie will be a real daddies girl. Congratulations to you and mrs triple 6.:)
-
thanx... she's definitely gonna be a daddy's girl, and i'm already a proud dad. (help! i'm turning all 'sappy' here!)
as for being big? well, daddy was born at 10lbs 10oz himself (and is still on the hefty side to this very day), so the poor girl had no chance at being a normal size!
-
best wishes from me and mrs chocadmin. You'll be a great dad.
Although you must now face the biggest challenge - what's the right age to introduce her to the joys of chocolate ;-)
-
thanx mr. and mrs. admin - much appreciated. and if i have my way, she'll be munching on a star bar by the time you read this!

It's a partnership 623! I reckon it's every bit as hard to sit at the business end of a birth as it is to produce the goods!

10lb 5oz is a lot for a baby Earthling. Congratulations anyway. I'll drink a toast of Wallavian vine root

Congratulations WJP! Bet Mrs 666 was glad about the cesarean with a whopper like that :p
-
i think that if she knew she would come out that size, she would've opted for a c-section anyway.
thanx for the well wishes, people!
-
More good wishes from me - not had time to get on here much lately so missed the big event!
-
you didn't miss much. just a lot of flesh-slicing and crying.
-
Sounds like some of the films I've watched!
-
I feel now baby is here there's nothing to look forward to....
Anyone else pregnant?
-
don't you make me have another one!
-
Have them all close together wjp.

wjp what you buying Marnie for Xmas? Next year i think you should get a santa suit and dress up for her .
-
that's a great idea! i actually had a santa suit (from woolies) a few years ago - but its in tatters now. i may also have to dress her up in those cute little 'miss claus' dresses. i'm also looking forward to dressing her up as a witch next halloween.
what am i buying her for xmas? hmm... GOOD QUESTION! she has everything already! (she's spoilt rotten, y'see.) hmph - i really don't know! any suggestions?
