Yes the government would like to impose a maximum size of 40g for all choc bars (I assume they're not including tablet form factors in that).
I guess the manufacturers would be happy to make smaller bars for the same price, but what do you all think?

I don't see the point; it will do precisely nothing to combat obesity. People who want to eat more chocolate will buy two bars instead.

The government should concentrate on addressing the appalling behaviour of some of its citizens and get seriously tough with some of the scumbags they let run around our streets. I want to see persistent offenders punished so that they learn a tough lesson. How dare they tell me how much chocolate to eat when the man up the road has been banned from driving 19 TIMES and STILL DRIVES AROUND, MOSTLY COMPLETELY PISSED!
There now, i've said my bit and I feel a lot better!

Yes, and that Kerry Katona, rant, rant...

Who??

I remember when they were forced to end production of the large bars and the response was a duo packet instead. I'm sure they'd get around it somehow.

Apparently, 20% of the population in the UK thinks that a Jaffa cake counts towards your five-a-day!!!
-
Yes, at least 2 - 1 for the orange and 1 for the cacao in the chocolate ;)

Tell me you're having a laugh!

Whatever happened to CDM pocket packs? They were a good size.
-
Too big (I miss them) - they were the equivalent of king size products so 70g ish (at least)
-
Pity, I don't remember them being THAT big. I guess that was part of the problem ... they didn't look as big as they weighed!

I wonder what would happen if the government announced similar plans for the fat-laden foods quaffed by all the toffs? How about sanctions on the size of brie or stilton portions or controls on the revolting pates that some of these people stuff into their mouths?

Amen to that!
