Title: Pick N mix
Post by: Forth Bridges on July 24, 2009, 09:52:21 pm
everyone likes a good pick n mix, and with Woolworth closing its become harder to found a good range of pick n mix in shops.

please found a list of places where there are sold.  I hope some of us will be able to give some feed back about some of the sites, then hopeful we will found the best places:

Is it just me?  I don't think I've ever bought (or stolen!) Pick N Mix in my life!  Oh wait, I have done in the cinema and thought it was a complete rip-off.

It used to be worth buying in Woolies when they charged by the size of container, as it meant you could just cram as much as possible in. When it's sold by weight it's a rip-off.

Personally, I don't get why anyone would buy pic 'n' mix online - surely the fun of it is that it's an impulse purchase? If you get a craving for cola bottles or Fruit Salads surely you want it straight away, not in 3 - 5 working days.

Off topic: I have a pick n mix story... my boyf was helping someone out, and we had to make a long drive to get there. The person he was helping offered to pay for the petrol and A bag of pick n mix for the journey. Being cheeky (and students at the time), we managed £11s worth of pick n mix (in one bag)!

your right there, I remember over last year of wools that there stops this and change it to 90p per 100g making it just to costly in terms for a good pick n mix.

MY local Wh smith has a crap range ( OTHER stores do have a better range) but still no one sells fruit saldes/blacks

At least Wools give a DAM about good pick N mix and did not relay on candy king to give them there full range, but I doubt Wh smith will a dam, and will just see £££

I went BACK AGAIN TO the Wilkerson store and this time i got a bag -- £5  for 750G! :D
( as it only 60p per 100g
