i heard it wasn't going to be the Black Lace version though... isn't it being re-recorded by some other people? ('celebrities', or something.)

One of Black Lace died in  a coach accident years ago so it would have to be someone else.

"On 20 March 2009 it was announced that the song was being released in a new version by Dene Michael from Black Lace's original lineup and new member Ian Robinson[5]. A video for the release, titled Agadoo (Mambo 2009 remix) has been directed by Bruce Jones, who plays Les Battersby-Brown in television soap opera Coronation Street[5]. He also appears in the video, along with Kevin Kennedy, who plays Curly Watts in the same programme."
