I miss Smurfy. Hope his new home and job are turning out well.

Well, he's obviously found something of a distraction or where he is working they don't allow staff internet access. Web access today is far more easier than it was 18 months ago. I have a "3" dongle (as much as I hate the effing thing for crappy, connection dropping, etc) the thing allows access to the internet when the network is not over subscribed. Plenty of other mobile networks are offering USB devices like the o2 one I was looking at the other day.

Then you have "Mobile phones" which have improved over the years. My old Sony Ericsson K750i has good access and can display proper HTML.

So now you know, you can tell him off for neglecting his duty of visiting this forum board.

Your right, it is, thing keeps on dropping. I have tried all sorts of ways of getting it up but even waggling it about does nothing for me.

I spoke to Smurfy yesterday. He's fine, enjoying his job but still hasn't sorted out his internet access.  He sends his love to (almost!) everybody.

Hi everyone! How are you all? As GC says, I've been procrastinating about sorting my wireless access out, so I can only pop by occasionally at the mo. Nice to know I've been missed! (I bet even Bounty misses me really; who's he got to get wound up about when I'm not here?) So have I missed anything exciting?

Well I remember a vandilised road sign that used to say "Welcome to Slough" which had been spray painted over and had "s*it" daubed in its place. Always used to make me giggle that one did.

Although I can not comment these days as it has been 12 years since but when I used to have to deliver around slough and london, the place was as depressing as Hillingdon and thats not much better than wandsworth or Brent Cross.

Then you have the sewage plant over the other side of the M4 which on a hot day can be smelt in town. Hmmmmm nice.

So take some advice Smurf, invest in some air conditioning and fans if you live real close to the sewage plant coz you aint going to have your windows open for sure.
