Sad to hear of Wendy's death yesterday. By all accounts she expereinced great sadness in her life. I hope she finds peace in her eternal rest.
-
she had breast cancer 3 times and 4 husbands.
-
I was shocked when I heard she had cancer. Very sad indeed. I used to watch her in Are You Being Served? and Eastenders (when it was good). RIP.
-
I loved Are you Being Served.
-
Aye, they drop like flies. Celeb deaths are like buses, you wait ages for a one and then three come along at once. I wonder who is next...
-
Gardener, broadcaster and writer Geoffrey Smith has died aged 80.
He appeared on BBC Radio 4's Gardeners' Question Time for 20 years and created one of the great gardens of northern England - Harrogate's Harlow Carr.
-
Sydney Chaplin, the oldest surviving child of Hollywood legend Charlie Chaplin, has died aged 82.
-
Magician Ali Bongo, who made numerous appearances on television, has died aged 79 after suffering a stroke.
-
no! not ali! now that's sad. i used to love him when i was a kid. (thought he was a bit older than that though.)

This calls for a game of "Body Bag Bingo" where we all pick any 15 celebs who are about to kark it.
How to play, we need a list of the top 100 oldest people or list of top people who are in ill health, you grab a regular bingo card and they are your numbers and start ticking them off.
The winner is the first to 15.
BTW the game can last for years!
-
Great Loss, I do wonder who will Mrs Slocombe talk to about a pussy now?
-
Jimi Hendrix is dead!

LOL, I bet that had Mary Whitehouse's knickers in a twist.
-
At least the Whitehouse did us a favour and died. Still, we've got tossers like Keith Vaz these days.

Lou beale could be next!
Did you see her at Wendy's funeral?
Strangely, I learned by googling that Anna Wing had a son called Mark Wing-Davey!
If you don't know the name, he was the original Zaphod Beeblebrox in H2G2.

I never knew that but seeing pictures of both, I see the resemblance.

Isn't Lou Beale already dead?
-
Well Lou Beale is but Anna Wing isn't. Never knew the HHG connection and ZB was one of my favourite characters - thanks for that little gem Paulham!
-
Noram wisdom is on everyone list he is 95 years young!
-
Norman Wisom was one of my childhood heroes.
-
Sir Norman Wisdom ! even...
http://www.normanwisdom.com/ (http://www.normanwisdom.com/)
Norman Wisdom is a rare breed of comic like Tommy Cooper who with just one look could have an entire theatre in stitches over nothing.
-
I hope he gets to a 100! then he can get a card form the queen!
-
Hasn't he got alzheimers now?
-
Nope, He in Last of the summer wine, which i believe it just like it as you dont seem much and all you do is remember the past
-
Norman wisdom is in Last of the summer wine? When was that filmed?
-
He keeps popping up on it" like that bloke form on the buses! He only 66!
-
"Stephen Lewis (born Stephen Cato 14 November 1936 in London) is an English actor. He is best known for his roles as Inspector Cyril "Blakey" Blake in the LWT Sitcom On The Buses, Clem "Smiler" Hemmingway in the longest running sitcom Last of the Summer Wine and Harry Lambert in BBC Television's Oh Doctor Beeching!"
66, eh?
-
what only 6 years out! 72
-
72 isn't 66.
-
But he stil get his Bus pass either way!
-
A bus pass isn't all its cracked up to be.
-
IN scotland you can use it on all service including express service :D
-
But is a crack somewhere to pass a bus?
-
All buses should avoid cracks.
-
