Hmmm, wonders if they would do a Friday Night / Saturday morning variety.

Taste like beer to start with, the more packets you have the more plastered you get and the last packet on the way home tastes like a donna kebab. If your lucky and manage to get home and no incidents like the technocolour yawn... you are hit by the authentic & distinct flavours of  "Badgers Asshole Syndrome" where your mouths all dry, furry and tastes like somethings taken a dump in it...

The woman who suggested the onion bhaji flavour ones is from the north east.

The bhaji and f&c I have tried. The bhaji one trumps by far.
I did find far nicer crisps on my holidays, however...

Do they do a 'Rancid corpse roasting in its own juices in a nuclear furnace' flavour?  Probably tastes like Roast Beef or something...

I have tried them all now, and have to say i don`t really like any off them lol,the fish and chip ones just tasted like shiphams salmon paste, and the chilli & chocolate just burned without tasting of anything. The only ones i might buy again would be the onion ones, but even thats unlikley. The marmite ones however i love  ;D

The chilli choc ones are naff. The breakfast ones nothing much of anything.
Onion bhaji it is for me.

I've just finished a bag of onion bhaji (very nice) and there's a bag of builders breakfast on my desk that i don't think i can face opening.

Had all the flavours now .... no point picking a winner as none are amazing enough to stick around!

I've now tried the Fish & Chips (not bad) and the Duck and Hoisin Sauce which I thought were nice.

Just had the chilli and choc ones and couldn't eat more than 3. The smell and taste make me feel ill.

You should have stopped after 1 packet.
I saw the marmite ones in Sainsburys yesterday.

i finally got round to trying a couple of the new flavours the other day. i liked the bhaji ones, they were pretty sweet. but the chilli and choc ones almost made me vomit - they were that bad. i know they were only created as some kind of 'originality' joke, but christ, they were vulgar!

The chilli and choc have to be up in my top 5 of worst foods.
Imagine sitting in a pub and someone offering them around to have with your drink.

I am amazed that the builders breakfast won and my fave onion bhaji was second. Not at all surprised that the chilli and choc came last.

Someone will do a survey and it will show 95% of builders eat muesli and yogurt for breakfast and not a fry. Then where will Walkers be with their builders breakfast.

I never tried the Builders Breakfast flavour (or Onion Bhaji for that matter) but I heard good reports on both.

Anyone giving good reports on builders breakfast has no taste.

I never tried the Builders Breakfast flavour (or Onion Bhaji for that matter) but I heard good reports on both.

I tried them all (most from Home Bargains):

Duck in hoisin sauce: Nice, but nothing special.
Onion Bhaji: Absolutely disgusting, the worst of the lot! So bad I spat it out in disgust and got a drink of water to get rid of the vile taste.
Chilli And Chocolate: Almost as bad as the Onion Bhaji!
Fish and Chips: In a way, like Ready Salted crisps: you can take it or leave it. Nothing special.
Cajun Squrrel: Just normal cajun spice crisps with no hint of squirrel (maybe that's because they were vegetarian but still!).
Builders Breakfast: The best of a bad bunch. Not too bad actually. The one I predicted would win (which it did) - wonder if I could have put a bet on that? :D

hmm - i liked the bhaji ones.

Bhaji inventor was robbed.

The onion bhaji ones were by far the most realistic unless you rename the fish and chips to "a woman's sweaty clopper". Now that I'll give you, sunshine.
Title: Re: Walkers Do Us a Flavour
Post by: loulou on May 12, 2009, 06:40:30 pm
Perhaps when davidc bought his from Home Bargains they were stale.
Title: Re: Walkers Do Us a Flavour
Post by: davidc on May 12, 2009, 11:29:09 pm
They weren't stale.

Think they were about 15p each. So if you like the onion bhaji ones, get down to Home Bargains/Quality Save as they seem to be the ones that they have most of.

How about the Scotsman's breakfast flavour. Porridge and Bloaters.

Yes I've got a couple of those bloaters. It has a lot to do with me not getting my oats at last night's party, funnily enough.
