Nestlé Confectionery is launching new Toffee Crisp Clusters from January 2009 in response to the increasing popularity of sharing bags.
The sharing bag category is worth £618m , with the quest for bitesize treats pushing its growth ahead of the total confectionery category to 5.2%.
Nestlé Confectionery sharing bags continue to outperform the category at +21%.
Furthermore, Toffee Crisp is one of the fastest growing brands in the confectionery market, up 18% in the last 12 months.
With this in mind, retailers should ensure they stock a range of sharing bags from big brands consumers know and love.
Delicious bite-sized pieces of chocolate crispies in caramel, Toffee Crisp Clusters sharing bags (RRP £1.79) are set to grow the category further.
Unique and moreish, Toffe Crisp Clusters represent an innovative move, which is in line with consumer trends for a crispy and light eat.
