For those who don't know, Cabot Circus in Bristol is home to a Hotel Chocolat shop! It's on the top floor next to Dorothy Perkins. Of course, if you don't live in Bristol, you can just drool anyway! ;D
-
Actually we have one in Nottingham and it's very nice, though too expensive for what you get IMO. Now, when you have somewhere to rival Chocolate Utopia - let me know.
-
What, HC's 62% milk chocolate is the best milk chocolate in the universe!
-
I do love HC (as can be seen in my reviews), I think they're only very slightly overpriced (and certainly better value than thorntons), and am very happy since Southampton got its own branch, sadly nothing like chocolate utopia here (afaik). Though I do intend to do a trip to montezuma's in Winchester when I get a chance.

I used to inspect a little chocolate shop where the shells of chocolate were brought in from Belgium and the fillings added by hand! (Hand-made you see)
He used to continually lick his fingers when picking up the thin sheets of paper between them.

Blurmph!
-
85% nothing beats it!
-
I'm fairly sure 86 to 100% beats its cocoa content....
-
woah 85's too strong for me. Besides I'd be worried about becoming some kind of connoisseur, then I'd have to join the 70 percenters... ;)
-
85% doesn't have to be bitter - al la Lindt, although I quite like that. Chocolate Utopia do an excellent 85% ganache and the cream makes the taste very acceptable with a velvety texture.
-
Personally, I like 85%, especially when it's bitter. Hotel Chocolat do a wide range of dark chocolate with very distinctive tastes. Some of them are quite smoky!
