If you want to know what Galaxy counters tasted like look for the flat chocolate one in Revels. They are galaxy counters. i agree. They should be revived.

From the posts on here it seems as if a lot of old Galaxy/Mars products were merged into Revels over the years. And they still put in that vile coffee one!

I used to love Galaxy Counters.  And I know I've said it before but there are new people here - at one time they had numbers on them.

Mars choc IS the best tasting.

"Why have cotton when you can have silk"

Cotton and silk have different properties.  I wouldn't want silk underpants, but I wouldn't want my girlfriend in a cotton nighty.

You don't know what you're missing Bounty - I have it on good recommendation that silk is the only material for boxers!

I like a man in silk boxers. Anything cotton makes me cringe. and Y-fronts ...don't even go there.

Yes, I think Galaxy Counters once had numbers on them. It makes sense really, them having been called COUNTERS.

Cotton nighties? Well, we all get to that certain age when only cotton will do in bed. It's ok to skit around in silky nothingness when you're reasonably young, but when you're 94 only cotton looks respectable. At least it's better than bri-nylon!!

Salsa, in fact there was a Galaxy Counter TV advert that got many complaints where kids were showing what numbers they'd got and one couldn't make up his mind if it was a 6 or a 9.  He get turning it upside down and saying "69 69 69". This caused a lot of giggling when I was at school!

And as for nighties, surely winceyette is the only sensible material!

Not as bad as seeing the crazy frogs winkle on tv though.

On the theme of old age. Do you think you will ever get to an age when you lose your sense of taste and lose interest in chocolate!?

I absolutely loved Counters. When I was little (early 80's) my nan used to take me to the corner shop and I would always choose Counters as they were my favourite. They were a smaller version of the flat chocolate Revels and simply melted in the mouth. I'd love to see them back on the shelves!
