I had trouble pondering whether this justifys being called new.
[
Nestle Rowntree is about to expand its confectionery range with the launch of Kitkat Senses, designed with young women in mind.
The chocolate wafer biscuit bar has a hazelnut praline centre and has been developed to offer females a special me-time treat with just 165 calories.
The 31g bar retails at 45p and theres a five-pack retailing at 1.39.
Product will be available from 10 March and a 9m support package breaks on 7 April with five-week national TV advertising campaign.]
Seconds must have been spent thinking this up.

I'll have the cinnamon one. Bugger the calories.
-
Looks like the Nestle version of Kinder Bueno. I wonder which will taste better?
-
Strawberries and cream, Tiramisu, Lime, Lemon and Yoghurt, Berry, Seville Orange, Caramel... just a few of the varieties of KitKat that have been introduced in recent years and all failed miserably. If you were head of product development at Nestle, would you risk it again?
-
Some were less developed than they should have been. The caramel was simpy too sweet and not "toffee" enough.
I just hate it when one manufacturer has a "success" with a product so they all imitate it.
You can never have enough praline can you?
-
Nestle should focus on improving quality. Poor quality. I believe, it what has driven people away from Nestle products in more recent years. All those Kit Kat versions were too sweet for my taste. The KitKat Chunky is a prime example. Terrible stuff. Yet, in recent weeks, I have been driven back to regular KitKats (someone at work bought me one and I got hooked) so there must be inconsistency within their product range because the chocolate tastes very different from one KitKat variation to another.

I agree the praline overdose is a bit depressing. But have you actually tasted all the brands sold through Cybercandy? How do you know they don't have the same failings as the UK ones?
-
One or two. The cinnamon one is stupendous.
I just resent the Europeanisation of our chocolate tastes (praline again) at the expense of novelty and traditional flavours.
The "they wouldn't make it if it didn't sell well and vice versa" doesn't wash when a generation have never had the pleasure of Five centres, Golden Cup and Cabana to name but three. Secret bar anyone?
Nah, chuck another praline bar on the market, it sells well.
My spelling was all-to-cock, so I came back to fix it.

It would take a brave manufacturer to try something like Fry's Five Centres now - but I wish someone would. Sometimes the biggest risks prove the most rewarding.
-
I was thinking of this:

and this kept coming into my head instead!
I think I need help!
-
-
well, i had this yesterday and i thought it was really nice!
better than the bueno... although i would have prefered 2 sticks!!!
-
Hi everyone you may hate my site and wish I would stop going on about it
but.....you may like me now......
to claim a free Kit Kat Senses just e-mail this lady and she will send you one
-
I'm sure no one hates your website Jim! The only websites we don't like on here are ones people claim to have 'discovered' but which that actually run and want to advertise for free.
-
Bueno.
-
I like Jims website.
-
Thanks Lou :D hope you all get your free Senses bar! :d
-
why would she send us free senses bars??
-
I think your site is great Jim. I don't hate it at all.

With all the ones you posted pics of Paulham, they can keep their senses. I'll have a pineapple kitkat thankyou.
-
why would she send us free senses bars??
I suspect she's employed to promote the brand. Somehow I doubt she's some crazed chocolate philanthropist

-
I doubt it too smurfboy, but I think there should be more of those in the world.
How nice would that be?
-
It conjurs up a lovely image.
-
Not half as much as that avatar image's outfit does.
-
Sorry, I didn't know you had a thing for cuddly pink toys.
-
Isn't that what women go fo?
-
My partner bought me a cuddly Timmy from Shaun The Sheep and I'm a 38 year old bloke! I luvs me fluffies!!! Don't think I've got any pink ones though...
-
As a man with several cuddly Smurfs I can understand that!
I tried my first KitKat Senses last night - I loikes it. High 7 out of 10. As others have suggested, it's a bit like the lovechild of a KitKat Chunky and a Bueno (although the praline is firm rather than creamy like a Bueno).
-
I thought the chocolate very much like the over sweet variety that was in the KK caramel and passion fruit ones.
-
It reminds me of Mars Delight too - does anyone else agree?
-
Yes I agree - more like the love child of a Mars Delight and a Bueno I thought. Quite nice, but one was definitely enough.

Yeah, sod off!

Kit Kat Senses is quite easy to describe. Milk chocolate finger with wafer and a creamy hazelnut filling. But it has a lot to live up to if it’s going to compete with Bueno. When you bite into it, you get a satisfying crunch of wafer followed by the soft (if slightly too sweet) filling. But this is much heavier than a Bueno. There’s more wafer to get through and the cream filling just isn’t as light or smooth.

I wish I could believe that was your own opinion and that you were a real live person, eager to discuss your own experiences of chocolate (and perhaps other aspects of your life via the General thread). But no, you are a cyber robot (well, if you're not, you certainly sound like one) who roams the net looking for key words and phrases to latch on to so that you can deliver marketing spiel to an uninterested audience.
Fair enough, it's your way of making a living and I won't deny you that. However, I think it's a sad reflection on today's society. Still, there are worse things in life to tolerate. My sensless babbling for a start.
-
oldspice you are talking to a robot.
