CryCry Beautifully done but heartbreaking.

I was in tears at the moment Jack realised. I was a bit disappointed with the reaction from Rita and co though; but maybe we'll see more of that in the coming episodes. I think Vicky Binns (Molly) was really good - her crying was very natural. Usually it's either a bit of a sniffle, like they've burnt their finger on the hob, or OTT weeping and wailing.

I can't imagine Corrie with no Vera Disapprove

Yes, Molly was terrific. I bet those tears and sobs were real.  I thought the whole thing was very realistic. It reminded me of the death of my own mum, forty years ago this year. She died suddenly and unexpectedly in hospital and Jack's reaction was very like my father's. We also had a little huddle of neighbours out the front - but the following morning.

I had tears pouring down my cheeks. It was a change to have a peaceful and realsistic soap death -one we can all relate to.

It seems silly but Vera is one of those characters, you didn't always like, often felt sorry for, but always expected to be there, right in the thick of the action, voicing her opinion, wanted or not! LOL Like The Great Wall of China or The Great Pyramids....You can't imagine the world without them. You just assume they will go on forever.

It's amazing to me how people do keep ageing while I stay 19 and never get ANY older! A bit odd really, that.......

Yes, I noticed it started a bit early. I switched over before the end of EE just in case, but it was annoying.

Can I endure Vera's funeral?  It's like saying goodbye to an old friend. Poor Jack. Couldn't you just hug him?  Shall I send a sympathy card?  LOL I bet some people will!

Blanche was very quiet last week. Will they dare let her make a few funny quips or will it be out of keeping with the storyline? I noticed Norris got a line of two in (It'll be her diet I expect, that chip pan was never off the stove).

I'd love to see Curly coming back to pay his respects. I like Curly so much but he could never keep a woman. Poor boy.

Apparently Kevin Kennedy was asked back for the funeral, but he's busy doing theatre.

I always wondered what you would have to have done in a former life, or this one, to deserve a son like Terry.
It makes me shudder to think how bad a thing it must be.
