Does anyone ever feel just totally pi**ed off for no good reason? I'm tired out and fed up and I need some sun Soooooooooooooooon.
Roll on summer.
I know that feeling OldSpice... Some days life just seems like a drudge doesn't it? You spend all day at work waiting to get home, and then when you get there, the evening just disappears and it's time to start again!
Oh well, at least tomorrow is Friday...
life sucks major ass sometimes. grrrrr.
i wish it was summer too... winters too cold and has too much snow and rain and snrain ... and snow = chavs throwing snowballs damn them...
I hate the cold.
One friend is going to a wedding that has been planned for 2 years, I know that if it wasn't for that she would have been there. She is annoyed that she is missing it. I don't feel too bad about that, though I do wish she was there. We have been mates since we were 5.
But the other said its the only time her and her boyfriend can get time off work together to go on holiday, not too happy about this one. I wouldn't plan a holiday over my friends 21st!
But I will be taking plenty of pictures but I will be looking gorgeous!
It will still be fun without them but better if they could have been there.
I found out the guy I fancy is going to relate to try and work things out with his wife.
Tis rare i like one, and then he goes again ;)
/me runs back to her cosy shelf.
I've been reading about that 11 year old who has committed 16 street robberies in two months. There is a long article about him in today's Daily Telegraph. His mother blames the absent father and the social workers. His father, on being interviewed, said:
"I first got to know him when he was about seven"
For God's sake. Who are these people? The mother has five children by four fathers. Most of the fathers have no meaningful role in their children's lives - they just seem to be men who drifted through the mother's bedroom at various stages. The children are badly behaved and mostly living on the streets by choice and the mother bleets to the social services because she cannot cope. With her own children!
I'm even more bloody depressed now.
I have this idea, some call it sinister, but hear me out.
ALL persons are reversibly sterilised at birth and cannot procreate ( sure, shag as much as they like) until they have proven to be fit and capable of being a responsible parent. How is this done? A jury of peers, social services or some other body.
Yes, yes it's inflammatory, human rights, blah, blah. We do however need to find solutions to this ill.

I don't want to agree, but I kind of do agree. I am so sick of these pathetic women saying "I asked the social services to help but they wouldn't". If they cannot reason with their own children, how do they expect anyone else to ? It is not the job of social services to raise children whose parents have given up.
It is hard to be a parent, you have to make sacrifices and establish routines and boundaries so that the children get some structure. It's not all about throwing designer clothes and toys at them.
I don't know what the answer is. i give up.
To be honest I think parents don't receive enough assistance. At the end of the day parents are doing the most difficult job on the planet, and they are creating the future of the country. Therefore they should receive all the assistance they need.
All we seem to do at the moment is throw money at them to get back to work.
Why do parents need assistance? Paulham, oldspice do you need assistance.I think not.
Did our parents need assistance. No. The problem is thick teenagers who have no sense and in a lot of cases can't read and write have kids, then their kids grow up thick and have j=kids. That's how we have more and more people becoming grandparents by the age of 35.
I agree not everyone needs assistance at parenting. But it appears its the one job in the world where you get no training, other than 'instinct' Whilst I don't think assistance should be a compulsary thing I think if people ask for help they should receive it.
The more we invest in making the young people better, happier more self sufficient people the better a society we will end up having.
I agree with louLou, but then what do we do now? The problem is that the government feels unable to intervene at this level. Who can blame them?
The ability to procreate alone does not make parents, just mothers and fathers.
There must be something we can do. Are there condom machines in every school toilet? If not put them there now. The answer lies there. Take motherhood away from teenagers girls. Let them shag all they like but don't let them get pregnant.
I really don't see what sort of assistance parents cna be offered to help raise their chiildren. Parenting classes might help but often, these paretns are just so selfish, their children end up in trouble because the parents will do anything to get rid of them for a few hours peace. A lot of young parents do not realise how much time and effort is involved in raising children. They become resentful towards the children and a chain of negative behaviour starts up.
Read the article on page 25 of yesterday's Daily Telegraph (Friday).A mother and father, both out of work, left their nine-year old to get her brothers and sisters up for school, get them dressed and off to school because the parents were too idle to get out of bed. In addition, before school, the child had to take tea to the parents in bed and go out to buy her father The Sun newspaper. She was frequently late or absent from school because her parents needed her at home to help with the younger children.
What help could possibly be given to these parents??
Bye the way Goldencup, I love your signature, very witty.
Thank you
And can I have another corner bit please? Will it be a chocolate cake?
Yes you can both have a corner piece. I don't know which type of cake it will be yet. I want to get a special one to mark the occassion. I am going to have a look in M&S, Harrods and Selfridges to see which ones they make. I would like a nice pink one!
I never do the cake cutting. That's a recipe for trouble in my experience.
Cake is a big weakness for me. I don't have it very often, so when I do I like to make the most of it and have a big fat slice. I always get told off by everyone else saying I will make them fat!
Talking of cake, M&S do the cutest Doogal cake. Anyone else seen this?
That's just their weakness talking Choccy Chick - if they had any willpower they would be able to resist!
I had a very cute Dougal cake from M and S a few years back. Actually, if I straighten my hair I bear more than a passing resemblance to him!
One of the ladies in my office got it for her daughther and it was gorgeous!
My boyfriends little nephew had a holly the hedgehog cake from Tesco at the weekend and that looked lovely. It's face was made from that lovely soft icing stuff. I admit...I ate a fair amount of his face.
Really
Roll-on Dove is the one I'm using.
Correction: it's the stick.
Seriously, "roll on May" - new election cry???
M&S do the cutest Doogal cake.
*Gasps* I want one!
sometimes I intentionally spell things wrongly because they look better that way :)
Tis worth remembering that.
Exactamundo hon. :)
Oh, just for the record I also make words up I like the sound of, its no biggie.
You make me laugh Salsa - and for the best sort of reasons!
I hope so, or I may aswell put a bag on my head and beat myself with the sh*tty stick.
