You know the teeny ones that used to come in roses, and they had the proper foil and wrapper? You could also buy them in their own little boxes. Well, i got a couple of boxes from the 99p store, but i've never seen them anywhere else, and i think the dairy milk chunks might be taking over? Hmmm.....does cadbury just do whatever it wants and ignores what customers want?!!!!They were only teeny so the kcals don't count either!!!LOL

Sometimes, at Christmas, I'd get a box of these in my stocking and it was the biggest thrill to have these little bars like dolls' shop bars!  I longed for one of the dispensing machines but never got one.  I will be very sad to see these go.


 

Does  anyone remember the Bournville version?

I saw these only last week in the Cadbury outlet in Street - and they are selling the red little vending machines to go with them for 5.99!!  Old Spice they also have the mini Bourneville bars in there too!!!!

Yes, they get the notion to discontinue a product without wondering why a product line isn't selling.

When my father (GRHS) used to talk to me about sales and how to pitch yourself in selling, regardless of what the product is, the crunch at the end of the day is the price at which an item is retailed at.

If for example you can buy a 150gram bar of chocolate for 85p, why would you go and buy a bar of chocolate at 59p when your only getting 85grams? and most of it is air! Simple economics at work, people will always buy the most for their money and this is what big corporations like Cadburys fail to understand.

Its like Mars Bars, I remember when you got 65grams now all the bars I see are 50gram bars (like the one I just have eaten & checked the wrapper) but still cost the same amount of money. Who decided this? In simple terms this is how company's keep prices down and maximise profits by silently making changes like this.

In the case of Mars bar the difference is about 9p in the favour of the retailer. So a 39p Mars bar is actually worth 30p

Mars bars these days are pathetic. The chocolate is different, the caramel is different, and the malt is gone. All in the interests of cheapness, I'll bet.

Miniatures are still definitely around. I bought some the other week. Newsagents with a wide range of chocolate tend to stock them. Hope Cadbury's keep making them forever and ever because they are so quaint. I love unwrapping them - the purple paper wrapping first and then the gold foil. What a treat. My nanna buys them for me ever Christmas :-)
