Title: Twirl, Spira, Flake Dipped
Post by: smurfboy on September 17, 2007, 03:22:32 pm
Am I the only one who wonders why Cadbury produce all three of these? Okay, they're not exactly the same, but there doesn't seem to be enough variation to warrant producing all three. Put the time, money and energy into giving us something a bit different! smurfboy2007-09-17 23:31:03

Yes and none of them are as good as a Ripple!

C'mere you till I give you a hug.

Write to Cadbury Smurfy and see if they even bother to reply to your pertinent question. Mind you, it's not as though Nestle are pushing anything new these days having had their (chocolate) fingers burnt a while back.
What would you like them to try?
I fancy a Double Decker with Wispa on the bottom instead of the crispy rice or even a Triple Decker with it in it!

I don't like double deckers anymore and Twix is terrible since they made the base too crunchy. I do like a nice ripple, twirl or flake.

Some of the stuff they do in Oz sounds interesting (Rapsberry Twirl etc.) - pehaps we could have some of that?

As long as it doesn't taste like the Raspberry Top Deck (?) I had from Oz recently - it was so disgusting I couldn't even finish it.

Ooh, that's disappointing - I liked the sound of that.

Oh Lou, do you know the crunchier Twix makes the roof of my mouth so sore! I used to love them!

Double Deckers are a bit too sickly these days but I'm a sucker for a Flake although I am not indulging at the moment because I'm dieting again!

I do like Twirls but I don't know why they bother making Dipped Flakes or Spiras.  They are too similar and I would rather have something a bit different.

What about a bar with caramel, soft coconut and cherries???Wink

Fudge, nuts, raisins and caramel wrapped in chocolate.
What a Prize that would be.

It is a bit odd isn't it, but then Masterfoods (they're not officially called Mars yet are they?) - completely corner the market in bagged products - maltesers, minstrels and m+m's.
I agree Nestle haven't done much new recently, but I finally managed to get a black magic bar today - we'll see how that works out after I've scanned it.
Oh and anyone tried the new galaxy bars? I'm quietly impressed.

The Dark one is obviously Mars Midnight covering, so for me it's a no brainer.
The fruit and nut one is surprisingly good considering I don't normally like smooth choc with F&N. Cadbury tends to be my default F&N but I could quite easily except this as an occasional substitute.
