Theres been a lot of talk about these lately, both on the net and off (the girls in my office were going on about them yesterday and my mateeven blogged about them...( http://heateddiscussion.wordpress.com/2007/07/03/wispa-to-me/ - hows that for dedication!!)
has anyone else heard anything about whether they are coming back into production?

You are assuming that Cadbury care and listen to their customers. With them it all stops with the figures. That is profits and being the biggest.
Nestle are little better and have largely destroyed the quality of Rowntrees chocolate.

Yes that true. I have no idea if the wispa was financially viable or not. You would have thought though given the renewed consumer interest that they might listen. I wonder if they have issued anything online about this yet?

Listening isn't a Cadbury strength.
I mean if you find Salmonella in your chocolate you should listen to scientific advice on stopping that production line and fixing the problem.

Wispa is unlikely to come back into production. CDM Bubbly is supposedly its 'replacement', but I think they're very different things.

Oh my poor heart bleeds for them. "Never happens again" What being caught out? Their new procedures are more robust at concealment, I guess.

Well, I'd say it gives you a flavour to the chances of Cadbury listening to consumer demand for the return of Wispa.
