The Bible has been translated into an Australian Aboriginal language for the first time.
The Anglican Church has launched the first entire Bible in Kriol, the most widely-spoken indigenous language in the country.
The task has taken almost 30 years, and involved more than 100 linguists.

I liked all the early stuff with the Assyrians etc. They had some brilliant names - Tiglath Pilezer or something like that?

My great grandmother from Suffolk was called Karenhappuch. That was her Christian name. Apparently a daughter of Job.
I love the biblical names Seth, Gideon and of course Ruth (my daughter's name).
