Is anyone else watching this? I've only just got into it but changed my mind completely after Saturday's edition. I'm supporting Keith at the moment, even though he perhaps hasn't got quite the right 'look'.
-
Is this the show to find the new Joseph? If so Rob the builder has no chance.
-
I have watched it here and there but can't manage a whole programme because I find the production values so irritating. I saw the end of last week's show and disagreed with the result so much I couldn't be bothered this week.
-
Is this the show to find the new Joseph? If so Rob the builder has no chance.
Yes it is and I agree.
-

i agree hes certainly not joseph, be he would make a fab pharaoh

-
He would Lorri, I hadn't thought of that! I can't decide whether to go to a 'Sing-a-longa-Joseph' in my area next month - it seems a bit of a waste to spend all that money just to sing along with a film but it might be fun.
-
Will you get dressed up in your coat of many colours GC?
-
i have never done the sing along ones but im told they are really good fun so go for it
-

-
I think it might be at the cleaners!
I hear that many people go in their school uniforms and that would be an even more frightening though. Perhaps Bounty will be there?
-
I'm supporting Daniel.
-
Daniel is my fave as well, i like Lee a lot and have seen him in phantom aqnd he is very good, but the show is suposed to be about finding an "unknown"

I disagree - the show gives unknown singers/actors the chance to be discovered, but the point is to find the right person for the role. If I was a struggling actor who had paid his dues as an understudy for years, I'd be pretty pissed off to see someone with no experience walk into a lead role because a competition was 'unknowns only'.
-
well i would agree if it was not for ALW keep saying he wants a unique pop joseph,Lee is really good and i would never take that away from him, its just the way ALW insists he wants an unknown that makes me feel Lee will never win, so whats the point of letting him come this far
-
I think an unknown should win not someone who has already had chances.
-
But that's what makes interesting television. It wouldn't be the same to watch a load of experienced actors audition - they do that all the time.
-
I don't know why my bit appeared twice there.
-
But that's what makes interesting television. It wouldn't be the same to watch a load of experienced actors audition - they do that all the time.
But does that mean experienced actors should be barred?
-
Ones who have appeared professionally, yes I think so.
-
You would think very differently if millions of pounds of your money was at stake.
-
Of course but that's not what this show is about
-
Is it not about finding a nobody wannabe?
-
Of course but that's not what this show is about
It is for Andrew Lloyd Webber and Bill Kenwright.
-
Is it not about finding a nobody wannabe?
Exactly!
-
I told you I understood.
Andrew Lloyd Webber needs to enter Mr Ugly. He would win.
-
Is it not about finding a nobody wannabe?
Exactly!
But have any of the people behind the show actually said that? For me, it's about finding the best talent - and if that means someone who's spent years as an understudy, being passed over for the leads in favour of bigger names, getting the chance to shine in front of millions of viewers, so be it.

What I want to know is WHY HE CLOSED HIS EYES before he drew back the curtian to SEE for certain what he THOUGHT he knew.

Ah that's a good point.
-
What I want to know is WHY HE CLOSED HIS EYES before he drew back the curtian to SEE for certain what he THOUGHT he knew.
I'd never thought of that!

I was disgusted that when one of them was asked to name the colours of the coat, he couldn't do it. I learnt them when I was 16 and have never forgotten (sad I know).
-
Are they the same as the rainbow?
-
No, much much longer than that
-
Apparently if you look at a rainbow at a 36 degree angle you can see all the colours.
-
"It was red and yellow and green and brown and scarlet and black and ochre and peach and.....

It was red and yellow and green and brown
And scarlet and black and ochre and peach
And ruby and olive and violet and fawn
And lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve
And cream and crimson and silver and rose
And azure and lemon and russet and grey
And purple and white and pink and orange
And red and yellow and green and brown and
Scarlet and black and ochre and peach
And ruby and olive and violet and fawn
And lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve
And cream and crimson and silver and rose
And azure and lemon and russet and grey
And purple and white and pink and orange
And blue

And you didn't copy and paste that from anywhere did you Lou?
Actually it's wrong anyway, looking at it again. You overlapped.

I think I should be on that show. I was Joseph in my school production of this musical and I still know all the words.
And it's not Rob the builder.....it's Bob The Builder.... and I'd vote for him, I like his cat.

-
Introducing: Rob McVeigh
From: Rotherham
Age: 23
Occupation: Builder
Definitely Rob the builder.
-
Exactly.
-
I think we need a nice rugged looking joseph.
-
mmmm, one that looks fit in a loincloth
-
Exactly. Not one of these wimpy types.
-
Keith is out then - he looks about 12!
-
What happened last night? I missed it.
-
I missed it too.
-
Jason Donovan has tipped Joseph hopeful Keith Jack to go all the way
-
Rob and Lewis were in the sing-off - Lewis was saved. I think it was the right decision. Rob's story made good TV, but Lewis has a more realistic chance of making a success of the part.
-
And it's not Rob the builder.....it's Bob The Builder....
If I didn't know better I'd think you were ignoring my truly terrible sense of humour on purpose.

Is it Rob the builder who's just been voted out?
And which of them would look best in a loincloth?
-
Is it Rob the builder who's just been voted out?
It is indeedy.
-
Is it Rob the builder who's just been voted out?
It is indeedy.
But you don't have an opinion on who would look good in a loincloth?
Oh OK.

-
But you don't have an opinion on who would look good in a loincloth?
Not one I want to share in public
-
Please say the answer isn't that odd looking Lloyd Webber.
-
The only thing he would look good in is a paper bag!
-
If it was on his head.
-
Exactly.
-
Who are you voting for now then Smurfy? My favourite (Keith) is still hanging in there I see, even though I haven't watched the show the last two weeks.
-
The only thing he would look good in is a paper bag!
Did anyone see him on Jonathan Ross a couple of weeks ago? It seems he has 'hidden talents', backed up by Sarah Brightman!
-
'hidden talents', backed up by Sarah Brightman!
???
-
Think of something Sarah Brightman might have seen that the rest of us (thankfully) haven't...
It's nice to know he has something going for him!
-

I don't really have a favourite. I liked Daniel but he's gone.
-

???
When Jonathan Ross asked ALW if the rumour was true, I thought his reply was quite clever. I won't post it here though.
