Okay, I'm finally going to get my diet going properly - and I want you to all help me. I'm going to bite the bullet and post my weight here every week; the plan being that I'm less likely to slip up if everyone will know if I do badly. Basically it's Weight Watchers without the 11 quid every week

Current weight: 13st 10lbs
Target weight: 12st 10lbs

I was terrified of Pinky and Perky when I was small. If I saw a picture of them I had hysterics and if they came on the radio I really flipped. Luckily we didn't have a TV back then!

I need to lose a bit too but it's too stressful at the moment as I'm in the process of moving house.
My advice smurfy is to bulk buy healthy foods and don't go down the chocolate/sweet aisles at the supermarket. If I ever buy chocolate or sweets I can never save it for later - it's usually gone by the end of the day.

i would like to join in.... but i fear my weight would shock some people. so lets just say i weight 14 stone. yeah, that sounds good.

I've tried to ban chocolate recently but find it impossible. I get cravings every day.

It's not a good idea to go completely 'cold turkey' in my opinion - you're more likely to snap and have a binge.
I'm stocking up on Options/Highlights - although it's not the same as proper chocolate, it does help stop the craving for a bit.

Good luck with your diet smurfy! I have a cheesecake addiction at the moment and have gone right off chocolate.. if I can get rid of the cheescake addiction I might be able to join you

I'm stocking up on Options/Highlights - although it's not the same as proper chocolate, it does help stop the craving for a bit.
Options is one of the few things that has been a lifesaver when I'm on a diet - gives a good chocolate hit.

im fine if chocolate is not in the house, as soon as anyone brings some home, thats it ban often goes out the window
I like the cadburys highlight drinks, they're very nice. The dark chocolate and the latte one are my favs.

I never liked the Cadbury ones myself. Always preferred Options, especially the turkish delight flavour.

Are you serious? I would have thought even for 5 ft 1in, that is underweight.

yea, i think it just sounds less than it is or looks. I am 6st7 but being 5ft1 you probably couldnt tell to look at me.

I am trying to lose weight too i am getting married in Aug and want to lose about half a stone before then:
Current weight approx 10 stone 7 - 8 height approx 5.5
Target weight 10 stone
I recently joined leisure centre gym and find swimming helps but i find it really difficult not eating at night time after 7.00pm.

I couldn't do that. I know they say 'eat after eight, put on weight', but I just can't last out that long. I think it's what you eat rather than when you eat it that counts.

I read somewhere recently that the "No eating after 7 pm or whatever" rule is rubbish. But then whatever you read, you'll see the opposite somewhere else.

I'm not a boxer, we do a weigh in in work every now and again, where the person who loses the most body fat percentage wins some money, I can drop to 9st 7 really quickly.

Size 0 (UK size 4) is a ridiculous size to be. My sister is an 8-10 and looks thin to me.

It's easy if you have access to a sauna, just sweat it out and don't drink!

I didn't watch the size zero programme, but I did watch the programme about the 27 year old bloke who for the past 25 years had eaten nothing but spaghetti hoops, toast and Lucozade

I saw the size 0 programme. It's utter madness. You look one way and half the women are 25 stone, you look the other and they're size 6 - isn't anyone normal anymore?

weight this week 10 stone 4lbs i think does anyone else get differemt weight on scales depending what time they weigh themselves i weigh quite a bit lighter in the morning compared to at night.

I always weigh myself on a Saturday morning. Weighing yourself more than once a week gives a false impression as your weight invariably fluctuates.

I think I'm normal as far as weight is concerned.
I am just about 5 feet 7 inches and I weigh just over 9 stone.
Feels about right anyway.

I'm not going to get downhearted - I'm heading for the gym today, after I've eaten my ridiculously healthy soup!

Good work should keep the gym up i find it easier going straight after work cos as soon as i hit the sofa i cant be bothered getting up again.

I go to the gym in my lunch hour, it gives me energy for the afternoon. Before I started going to the gym at lunchtimes I was ready to fall asleep by 3pm!

Prob just muscle mass if you measure yourself you may have lost inches, ive been really bad this weekend but damage control doesnt seem to bad yet.
Now bout 10 stone 4 1/2.
