Title: easter eggs!
Post by: clairestelle on December 15, 2006, 07:56:35 pm
Not strictly new products but can't believe they are already selling creme eggs, mini eggs and the like in woolies.  Actually there is a rolo egg at about 45p that i don't think i've seen before.  Refuse to buy before Christmas though.  Boxing Day maybe...

No! Not the eggs and bunnies already!

They might at least allow us to get Christmas day over with first.

I mean I am trying to be reasonable and not ask for the whole holidays, just the actual day itself.

Surely they could wait that long before they thrust the next holiday upon us?

Last year as far as I remember, it was a few days after Xmas when they appeared in shops. Now Woolworths already have them in!

Wow! I used to LOVE the little Rolo eggs when i was at college about 12 years ago. In my opinion they were the nicest small filled eggs ever but they were only around for a year or two.  I've tried to like the caramel ones but they are not the same

Let's hope Rolo eggs are back to stay

They did. Logger is talking about the 'small' cream egg sized Rolo eggs I believe. The last few years Nestle have only made Smarties, Double Cream and Milkybar eggs in that size.

Well I've never had a problem getting them.

I mean where did he get them from the last few years? Last year the Woolworths near me only had the large boxed Rolo eggs.

Perhaps they're not early, just this year's coming out really late!

Shouldn't there be a Cadbury's Christmas egg or something similar? I remember those soft filled Christmas Pudding things but they were dreadful. What about a cone-shape filled with cherry brandy flavoured fondant?

The Christmas egg could have a cinnamon flavoured fondant.

Tried some black magic mini eggs today which were gorgeous- dark chocolate round a dark truffle with cocoa nibs.  Also saw some Green and Black mini eggs which have butterscotch bits in them but not bought yet as £3.99 for a small pack.
