A break from work definitely ... and maybe some new boots

I like it to last. Then there is New Years to look forward to.

New Years is better than Xmas because the emphasis is more on alcohol.

I like Christmas eve and Christmas morning the best.

I like Christmas eve and Christmas morning best too. I hate New Years Day and have to run around taking down the tree and decorations. I can't stand having them up after the New Year - especially if I've gone back to work!

Putting the tree and decorations up is so much more fun than taking them down!

Is it just me or is January a depressing month when things tend to go wrong?

January is the month when everyone wants to go book a holiday (except for Smurfy cos he will be on holiday). Last year the day after boxing day there was a huge queue in the local travel agents.

Also a lot of people join a gym in January.

Things are tending to go wrong in December for me this year

I am sorry to hear that Jamsi.

I hope things improve for you very soon, and you have a Merry Christmas.

I am hoping Santa brings me chocolate of some kind, and since I have been a very good girl recently, some nice perfume.

I'm hoping Santa will bring me a new phone.  Mine is one of the original flip-ups with a black and white screen and no camera and annoyingly it still works perfectly!

Hi goldencup.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what kind of phone is it?

I am looking for a reliable make of phone as I am now on my fourth phone in the past two years (although one of them did go un-noticed into a skip  ).

Not bothered about screens or cameras, just want a phone that works for longer than 6 months.

I got mine from Argos - the brand is Binatone and it has lasted me quite a long time.

I've had many phones, motorola, samsung, siemens and I have always found nokia to be the best.

I've only ever had two - both Motorola.  The first never did pack up but became an embarrassment and I've had this one for about four years.  It's been dropped loads of times too.

I have this one:

It was from Virgin, has lasted over a year now. It has a touch screen which is a bit awkward.

I'll have any phone that is pink. I'm not big on texting, never take photos, can't understand half the things phones do. I just like to know if I need to call someone I can. The majority of phone boxes take phone cards and credit/debit cards now. I haven't seen one that takes coins in a long time.

I text all the time but don't use the other bits.  Can't remember when I last used a phone box - must be ten years or more.

I have written to Santa to see if I can get Ruby (Louisa Lytton) out of Eastenders in her school uniform.  Phew!

Thankyou very much for the info on the phones.

Think my next one might be a motorola. I like the look of the new chocolate phones they're advertising at the moment.

I couldn't remember who it was who did the chocolate phone so I did a search.

It's LG, does anyone have any experience of them?

...I have also asked for Girls Aloud, Natasha Kaplinski, Tina O'Brien, Cat Deeley and Lucy Griffiths - again all in school uniforms.  I figured that if I ask for all of them, then statistically I should get at least one.

Weren't LG the first people to make plasma tv's? I've heard good things about the chocolate phones.

The only problem is she has asked Santa for a restraining order against you...

You're going to be a busy boy if santa is feeling generous this year aren't you Bounty??

Good luck.

Thanks for that loulou. I will check them out. The only problem is that they are very thin and I am fairly sure they would slip really easily into a skip. LOL
