It is 60 years since Hungarian newspaper journalist Laszlo Biro and his brother invented the bic biro. Thought I would share that with you all.

In pound shops you get large packs of biros for a pound.

I have always believed you can tell a lot about a man by the type of pen he uses. The same goes about a mans shoes.

Yes I can see how a woman wearing Tweed and eating a Yorkie bar wouldn't be as tempting as a woman eating a flake and wearing Gucci.

Oh they are quite happy to be given a pencil. They are not fussy. They'd rather not write at all, most of them. It's especially bad this year. We have had a terrible time with lazy and abusive students since September and most of us are thoroughly fed up. I keep telling my trainee teacher classes to think very carefully about what they are taking on.
